As a sophom*ore at Penn State, I can confidently say it's been an incredible experience! The campus is vibrant, with top-notch facilities and a diverse student body. Professors are engaging and supportive, fostering a dynamic learning environment. There's a wealth of extracurriculars to explore, from clubs to sports. The sense of community here is unmatched, making it easy to find your niche and form lasting friendships. Plus, the surrounding area offers endless opportunities for adventure. My time at Penn State has been truly an amazing experience so far! At first I was worried about coming here as I wasn’t sure how I was gonna fit in. But, as time went on you find your people and they end up being the ones you’re going to be friends with for life! Though Penn State is academically vigorous I have been working my hardest to get where I am now! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me! One thing I wish they did better about was teaching us students about the many resources we have, as well as young the diversity a bit more!

You absolutely get out of it what you put in. You can make it whatever you want - if you want to party you can do that. If you want to spend every waking hour being the best student possible, you can do that. If you want to be involved in genuinely cool research, you can do that. Athletics. Music. There is a lot that is very good about these programs. It is, however, very expensive for a state school. That's the biggest drawback. And there are the same issues that plague any large institution - bureaucracy, scandals, the Office of the Bursar, the School of Business (I jest).
