I remodeled my kitchen in July of 2011. I got a gas stovetop and the vent is the Bosch 10282541 downdraft system. This is approx. $1,200 and has never worked for more than a month at a time. Currently, its not working, and Bosch will not repair it. I contacted Bosch in October of 2011 and they gave me a name of a company to work with. They came out, assessed the problem and after 6 weeks of no contact, no update, no fix, I had to contact Bosch and get another name of a company to fix the problem. Again, after weeks of delay, they came out and fixed it.And after 2 months, the vent broke again. They were in the process of fixing this, and again, it was delayed due to a back problem with the repairman. They did a partial fix, but then needed more repairs - and Bosch said the time was out for the year of in-warranty repair. During the first year this was installed, it was not working more than it was working. On Thanksgiving and every major holiday, I was without a fan. I contacted Bosch several times, and they promised to have a supervisor call me back, but that never happened. I have resolved to not buy Bosch appliances ever again as my fix.

I purchased this dishwasher during a kitchen upgrade. Prior dishwashers were noisy and tend to leak over time. One nice feature of this dishwasher is its completely sealed underneath. This keeps the noise level down and of course no leaking out the bottom. One drawback is you may need a longer water inlet line because routing can only follow a predetermined path.

The refrigerator was brand new and a near out of box failure, working less than 24 hours. On 4/23/15 When I first contacted Bosch, the care rep advised the first available appointment was 8 days later, May 1st between 12-5. When my husband called, frustrated, to see if there was any earlier availability for someone to come out, there was nothing in the system. The next earliest time became 4/28, where the technician found it needs a new main board and inverter. I have gone back to Goedekers Appliances, where I bought this thing asking that they pick it up, refund my money and I will buy something else. They maintain I must work through Bosch. Bosch on the other hand, called me once to promise a decision by last Friday (5/1/15) and never called me back. We have medications for family members that must be refrigerated not to mention the substantial loss in food that spoiled. None of this apparently matters. I had to threaten spreading the news, going to the press, Facebooking my story to finally get to a supervisor. I think when one has an out of box failure, it is reasonable to expect that someone will be out within the week to resolve any and all issues, whether that be a full replacement of the fridge, a loaner fridge or what have you. As this circus has taken this long with my having to stop my work day to project manage Bosch for status, what I had been asking for since 4/28/15 is either a full complete refund or a brand new Fridge. Being ignored thusly, today, I demanded a full refund from Bosch and for them to get this thing out of my kitchen by COB today. Suddenly now they can get a technician out today! I said yes, get your tech out here to take this fridge and provide me a full refund. Your time to repair this thing has passed. Get it out of my kitchen. And I hung up on ** supervisor in customer care at Bosch 800-944-2904. So he called me back, confirmed my name and hung up on me! NOW THAT IS GREAT CUSTOMER CARE!!! When I buy most anything, even a car, within 24 hours, I can get a full refund. If I buy a bad pair of pants, I get better service. Very angry.

The baskets are rusting even though no objects that could rust were put in there. The light for the main programme failed. The on off - switch failed. We are very disappointed as the very 1st dishwasher we had from Phillips lasted for ages and we only replaced it because we moved house and had a new kitchen. Very unhappy. If you want to replace the baskets you will have paid for almost a new machine.

However, this is the second time that the Bosch Oven has exploded with glass shattering over the floor and the people in the kitchen. Whilst I expect some ovens to grow old, I do not expect them to explode - especially twice now. The first was when the oven was being used and the second time was when the oven had cooled down. The first time, Bosch provided some (around 40%) reimbursem*nt. On the second contact, first impression from customer service was that they were interested, but since then, they have been notably unavailable for comment or response. I wont be recommending a Bosch Oven purchase to anyone - in fact my response would be the opposite.

Purchased the Bosch Dishwasher SilencePlus 44 dBA model during a full kitchen remodel. After using the dishwasher for 30-days, it was returned in exchange for a Kitchen Aid model. Chief complaint (for us) is the dishwasher remains wet inside after washing dishes and never dries out. Dishes remain damp and not fully dry. Tired of leaving the door open overnight to let the dishwasher dry. During the time we had it, because of the inside not drying, a musty odor is becoming noticeable. With this wet condition and closed, we are concern about it developing mold. Absolutely would not recommend this model or manufacturer. In speaking to the appliance representative where the dishwasher was purchased, the rep indicated that this remaining wet issue about Bosch dishwashers is very common and others have voiced the same complaint.

My wife and I bought a new home in January. It came with Bosch appliances. Within a few weeks the dishwasher started leaking a lot of water. I called Bosch and they sent a repairman out to check it. The repairman decided that it couldnt be fixed and would require a new dishwasher. He called Bosch and they said they needed proof of home purchase, which we gave them. Although my wife filled out all of the warranty information when we bought the house. The information that we sent to Bosch showed our names, address, closing date and the information on the house. We didnt include any information that had social security #s or financial information. Bosch continues to ask for the full 40 pages of my closing information and we refuse. Again, financial information, social security #s etc. are really none of their business. We have talked to them and asked them to tell us what else we can send them specifically and they cant tell us however, my dishwasher continues to leak on my floor and new cabinets and Bosch continues to say that they need 48 hrs. to run this by their bosses. The bottom line is that this is a 5-month old appliance that is bad and Bosch continues to play games to avoid honoring their own warranty. Why did we fill out the warranty cards in the first place if they cant use them. I will never recommend Bosch appliances to anyone. Not because we have a problem with their product. Anything can happen. But their desire to avoid repairing or replacing their defective product shows me that they have no desire to do the right thing.

Electric Built-In Combination Oven with 1.6 Cu. Ft. Microwave and True European Convection Lower Oven). We chose the Bosch brand based on reputation, longevity, performance, and design.Unfortunately, neither of these products has performed well considering they are both 3 years old. The refrigerator completely stopped working and had a large build up of frost on the back wall of the freezer wall. A service technician with Hagedorn’s Appliances fixed this problem by calling a Bosch technician to learn the control panel and plugs stopped working. The technician commented that this is a rare issue and was surprised the appliance was a Bosch due to the reputation. We were charged $688.79 to fix this issue. The microwave control panel is dim and we are unable to see what buttons we are pushing. The technician from Hagedorn’s said this is a realistic issue and fixable problem to the tune of $350.00. We have not scheduled this repair at this time.The third item we bought from Bosch were $775 dishwashers. We bought 2 of these. To say we love the dishwasher better than the microwave and refrigerator would be true; however we must stop short of saying these items are ‘exceptional’ in any way. The doors seemed ‘warped’ and don’t shut well all the time. The washing capabilities are fair (sometimes leaves marks) and the time to complete is crazy long 2.5 hours, even close to that on ‘speed’ mode. However the washing quality is worse. We will give it credit for being quiet, that it is, well done there. We really have just had a hard time and these products are not the ‘show pieces’ we had thought we bought just 3 short years ago. It will be hard for us to consider Bosch for the price and performance.

Long story short, I bought a 500 series Bosch and after 2 months it started malfunctioning. I must say Bosch Customer Services did try to fix it by replacing two computers and a pump, but it still malfunctioned. They finally replaced it after numerous calls, service calls and emails. I bought a different brand. Bosch did call me back unprompted by a call from me to see how things were going and even after it was replaced, I got a call from one of the managers about problems with a dealer refund. I found them to at least care about their customer to go out of the way to assist me. As for the product and I have had Boschs before, it was a lemon. Previous bosch dishwashers were great and my niece even has the same one I had but hers worked beautifully. After an 8 month ordeal, I dont think I would buy one again, but its only because I dont want to ever experience this amount of hassle again over anything.

We bought the Bosch Nexxt 100 Series Washer and Dryer about 5 years ago from Lowes. For the last 4 years we have had nothing but problems. First the washer. I kept ending up with cut marks in things. Almost like someone was murdering my sheets and clothes with a knife. They had perfect cut marks. Bosch offered no advice on what the issue was.Second the dryer. The dryer has been by far the BIGGEST headache! The first issue was that it would work but wouldnt heat up. Bosch told me to remove the back panel and the 20+ screws, shove my hand in there and find a TINY reset button. Ok, fine. FOUND IT! Reset! But then I kept having to reset it every week. Then a couple days ago I tossed in a small load of laundry and almost instantly started smelling something burning. So I open the dryer and I have flames between the back of the dryer drum and back panel. Not the most ideal place to have a FIRE! Not easy to tip a dryer backwards with a pitcher of water in hand trying to throw enough into small holes to put out a fire. BOSCH tells me Lint makes its way to the back of the drum, down the back and into the box where the heating element is. Clean it out, put it back together, plug it back in and resume normal use. Make sure to clean it out every few months. Can we say NO?Needless to say, I will NOT buy another BOSCH appliance. When I go to buy a new dryer I will also be buying a new washer. The only thing these appliances are good for is taking out back with a sledgehammer in hand and releasing some build up frustration!

The technician came on a number of occasions to figure out what the issue was, of course all at a cost to me. He thought he figured out why it wasn’t cooling and replaced the fan. He told me to purchase a triple valve from Bosch and that should fix my water dispensing issue. So I ordered online straight away. After a few days the item arrived, but I had also noticed that the internal temp inside the fridge didn’t go below 20 degrees Celsius. I decided enough was enough, spent so much on this technician and yet nothing, so I went out and purchased a new fridge. I contacted Bosch and explained the situation, and seek a refund on this triple Valve, technician labor cost as well as the cost for the new fan he had installed because the fridge clearly isn’t going to work. Till now it is still under review. As for the triple valve I sent it back to Bosch at their request (after again explaining to sales why I no longer want the item) at my own expense and yet they still charged me a ‘restocking fee’. I told them I only purchased it at the advice of the technician but because he couldn’t resolve my main issue, I didn’t need it anymore. They wouldn’t budge. I will recommend anyone that is thinking about purchasing a Bosch appliance to reconsider. Their customer service is awful and their technicians don’t seem to know the product too well either.

Our 15 year olds Bosch dishwasher with a custom cabinet to match our cupboards is the best dishwasher we ever had. The adjustable upper rack can hold a 9 and 1/2 in tall wine glass and with adjustable rack tines makes loading the dishwasher a delight. Just recently we had to have the circuit board panel rebuilt since replacement is obsolete but its worth every penny. When this dishwasher goes I will definitely buy another Bosch dishwasher now with a third rack available.

The KitchenAid I replaced was top of the line and it died at 8yrs old. My wife says the Bosch holds more dishes and is easier to load. One tip, whom ever installs it should read the directions carefully (some plumbers are over confident they know how to install these. End up not getting the drain hose placed properly and the power cord) as these two exit the back of the dishwasher and when pushed into the cabinet they could have a chance to get crushes or tangled up or under the machine.The hose and cord need to pulled to take up the slack as the machine is pushed back in place. The drain hose needs to be 20 higher than where it exits the machine before going to the sink drain. Some folks complain of a foul smell from these machines and I feel the plumbers did not install them right. My sister in law has a Bosch and the cabinet inside stinks awful, mine has No Smell after a month of use. Thats why I feel the install by the plumber is faulty. I always bought KitchenAid but felt the quality has gone downhill and am very pleased with this Bosch... Cleans super well.

I had a similar Bosch in a home I purchased in 2015 and I love everything about it. I moved in 2017 and of course purchased another Bosch fridge. This one works well, but it has a feature on the shelves that wastes a huge amount of space and makes the actual useable height of the shelves 1” shorter than the actual height. Somehow I didnt notice it in the store despite looking at it a number of times. It could be that they changed the shelves recently and the store model didnt have the brace across the front of each shelf. Its almost impossible to seein the photos. A tall drink bottle wont fit without angling it and even worse, the upper shelves are only 3 1/4” high instead of 4” high if it didn’t have that weird brace across the front. It make it so that only ver short items can go on that shelf. The bottom shelf in 10’ tall because of the brace, Hill without it, it would be 11 1/8” high. If I can find shelves without the brace, it would be worth it to me to replace these shelves at my own expense because Best Buy won’t do anything about it.

When he got here he switched the power cord but the dishwasher did not fit back in slot due to the special new cord. He said I should call an electrician to fix this issue and left. Now I am waiting to pay electrician to fix what the Bosch repairman left me with. BTW the fire and overheating claims started years ago, before we bought the dishwasher, it was not released on the internet that there were serious issues with these devices. I guess Bosch wanted to see how many claims came in before they issued a recall.

On my return to Canada in 1993 I kept the machine, had to have a 220 line installed in house to use machine. In 2013 decided to buy another Bosch machine. I quickly found out there is a difference in quality of machines made in Germany than the ones in North America. I have had nothing but problems with my new Bosch Model SHE3ARF2UC/08 SilencePlus 50 dBA. Every month once or twice a month the machine would not drain. Saying blockage of drain. Dishes are washed off prior to been placed in machine. Problem still persisting. This is a regular problem with this machine. Time to look for another brand. Had enough of this problem. Costly.

The range trim plastic piece which holds the glass onto the oven front broke. We had Sears come out to fix it and they said it was loose and screwed it back on. Then the glass front again fell off, luckily when I was not there. Then we bought $200 worth of new plastic trim pieces and screws from Bosch authorized dealer. Again, the front of the heavy stainless steel door came off. Now, Im just throwing this horror range oven which wants to cut my toes off. It is no longer repairable and I wished I never spent the $200 worth of parts to try to get it fixed. Whatever you do, do not buy the Bosch Gas freestanding range HGS445UC/02 if you don’t want your toes broken.

In 2012 we purchased a Bosch dishwasher based on Consumer Reports Magazine. We bought the top of the line spending a lot of money for what we thought to be a good unit. Since installation we have had it fixed 3 times the first being for a power cord that failed but was a recall that Bosch covered. That part again failed 2 years later and had to be repaired again for the same failure as the first but at my cost. The latest was for a power control circuit board. The dishwasher would start appear to be running but after only 2 cycles would stop and indicate the dishes were clean. However no water ever entered. A search on the internet revealed that other models had the same problem and was involved in a recall. A workaround was to open and close the door after the 2nd cycle and the unit would then fill. I tried the workaround and it worked, indicating the same problem and was later confirmed by a repairman. I contacted Bosch, provided all requested documentation and was eventually told that our unit was not included in that recall and the best they could do was 20% of the replacement board cost which equated to $24.00, but wed have to pay for shipping and taxes which was $17.00. I thought we had bought a well built appliance from a reputable manufacturer but have been proven wrong. Their customer service is terrible and does nothing to HELP you. In the 7 years weve owned it half of the original purchase price has been in repairs. I would not recommend any Bosch appliance to anyone again nor would I buy one.

The microwave/convection oven was great in terms of roasting small items and we used it very frequently. That is until the convection part of the oven did not deliver the preset temperature and was making rattling noises. The repair technician determined that it was the drive shaft of the fan is broken causing temperature not distributing properly. We went to all the appliance parts suppliers and could not find the part as it has been discontinued. I also contacted Bosch directly, after being re-directed to 3 or 4 different numbers and confusion with the part number, they said no part was available.We tried to replace the microwave/convection oven with another Bosch but the model is discontinued. New models are now all flushed with the cabinets which means my existing cabinet has to be rebuilt and will look out of place with the existing built-in oven. Found a different make microwave/convection oven ($700) that may fits in the existing cut out but discovered that the Bosch microwave/convection oven and built-in oven shared the same power source!! The Bosch representative recommended replacing the complete system!!! So, because of a $180 part that Bosch discontinued will require me to take out a working microwave AND a perfectly working built-in oven and put in another Bosch $5,000 to $7, 000 combination oven in?? NO WAY! Will I buy another Bosch again? NO WAY! It is absolutely ridiculous to discontinue a part barely 10 years after a product in the market. Shame on Bosch.

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in March 2011. It is model SHE43P25UC/64. The 2 plastic brackets which attach the control panel (also used as the handle) to the door have both cracked. My usage is typical for a household of 2 people so there was no excessive use here. The cracked brackets now cause the control panel to pull away from the front door when the dishwasher is opened.I took the front door panel off by removing the side screws (not the top screws) and I removed the broken brackets by unscrewing them at the tabs. I rough sanded the plastic at the cracks and applied Loctite Epoxy Plastic Bonder (3450 PSI) to the broken tabs and reassembled. I made sure the glued bracket lined up with the screw holes and manually pressed the control panel inward for 10 minutes to set the bonding agent. I then installed the bracket screws loosely and let the unit sit undisturbed for about 12 hours. Then I tightened the screws and reattached the front door panel. Its been 2 weeks and so far it had held in place. Since the Loctite claims to fuse the plastic, Im hoping this will last a while. I had searched the web for this issue and couldnt find a hit so Im posting this here in hopes that someone experiencing a similar issue can find this.

Nice but not that nice. My salesman very highly suggested this dishwasher so I bought it for $900. The good? Its very good looking. The bad? I do not find it any better than a $500 dishwasher from GE. Its quiet but not silent. It seems to clean dishes fine but it will not dry them no matter what you try. I live in a very very dry part of the country and no matter how much or how little I load this machine up with... and select Extra Dry when I open the dishwasher in the morning after running at night... not only are the dishes and cups still wet but so is the inside of the dishwasher. So, whats the point of having controls to select dryness? Oh, the (3) not 4 legs are plastic and all 3 of them broke off when I tried to slide the dishwasher. Great huh? Funny, I know steel legs may cost another $5 but I dont remember arguing with the salesperson about $5. so why not raise the price by $5. and get rid of the cheap cheap cheap plastic legs. My brand new $900 dishwasher now sits on wooden blocks... Great idea... Plastic legs.

The oven was installed in May 2012 and I immediately noticed a defect in the surface of the interior panel of the door of the lower oven. I called Bosch for a service tech. They gave me the name of the closest person. He and his grandson came out on May 31st and said they had never seen an oven like that before. I told them not to work on it if they did not know how. They said they could put the new part on, but they didnt even know how to take the door off the lower oven. They ended up dropping it and shattering the layers of glass in the door all over my kitchen floor. I called Bosch and they said they would send the parts for a new door and have a tech from San Antonio come out to put the new door parts together. I was without an oven door for nine (9) weeks. Parts were sent separately in about six boxes. The tech from San Antonio came and got the boxes, and we took some in too. Finally, a teenage looking boy came with the so-called newly put together door. It rattled, had a sharp edge and a gap between the interior metal panel and the glass. I told him it was not right, but he insisted it was. We had to go out of town for three months, but I called the corporate secretary and told her about the poorly put together door and she said she would make sure we got a new door when we got back home in Dec. 2012. We have called repeatedly only to be told someone would be in touch with us very soon to make the necessary repairs. They now say they wont replace the door with a new one as they have been promising. They are terrible to work with and nothing is getting done. I will never buy another Bosch product and will tell anyone I meet not to buy their products.

Its COVID. Understandable. They came to my house after 3 weeks and told me that they have to order part for microwave and suggested me to call bosch customer to replace it because it would make more sense since he visited cost $1246 this time and next time would be about same and told me that if he doesnt hear back from bosch he will be back in 3 weeks again. So I called Bosch back and explain the whole thing. I was told they made ticket (wrong ticket where they combined microwave and dishwasher) and the rep told me they send the ticket to management to review and will send the replacement.I called after 2 weeks AGAIN and the rep told me that they didnt proper format from the service company so I make three way call and explain them that bosch need special format for exchange. Service provider send it to bosch and bosch rep was like, Yup got it. Since bosch didnt reach out to me or the company the service guy came and said he have to order another part and will be back 2 weeks again. This visit was again $1246. So I called bosch again and find out whats going on and went through the same thing report format is not acceptable by management company.At this point, we paid $2800 for service and I bought this microwave around $1800.00. Didnt understand why bosch didnt see that because he will back again and will cost another $1200.00 so at this point we paid double than what microwave cost. So I called again a week later is same story. They dont have the proper format from the service provider. So here I am stuck with microwave because I can return it anymore since my purchase month was in May and here I am still waiting for bosch management to review in End Of August. The worst customer service ever. I called them more than 10 times since July to August and stayed on the phone for more than 2 hours going around and around. Every time I called my phone timed was more than 2 hours.

I had my last dishwasher, a Whirlpool for over 20 years without a single problem. Freidmans told me they were out of stock of the model that I originally ordered and substituted in the SHE45M05UC. I ordered the model just below this one. I noticed after I began using it that the rack continually got stuck even when I pushed it in very carefully. This caused many of my dishes to break when they clashed against each other as the rack jammed. I have a stack of cracked and chipped dishes, and have suffered a lot of damages. Freidmans did nothing to help me when I reported it to them. I didnt live in my house or use the dishwasher in 2010, I am the only one who uses it and I only run it about once a week or so. I also reported the problem to Purcell Murrays showroom in Brisbane and talked directly to one of the owners about it and he failed to replace the dishwasher. About a month ago towards the end of June, all of a sudden a huge amount of suds came poring out of the dishwasher as it was running. When I opened the dishwasher it was full of suds and full of water at the bottom of the dishwasher. I called Freidmans and spoke to Shannon who told me she would call Bosch service center to see what could be done and she would call me the following day. She never called me. I left several messages for her yet she failed to return my calls. I recall back in 2009 when I talked to Steve, the man who sold me the faulty dishwasher - he never would return my calls and he refused to exchange the dishwasher when I reported the fault with the rack that always sticks. I went into Freidmans yesterday to follow up because Shannon had failed to call me as she said she would and had not returned my calls. The salesman Steve had a little smile on his face as I discussed the issue with Shannon. Shannon again said shed call me the next day which was Monday, yet she didnt call the next day. Today I called for Mathew **, the store manager, just as I did back in 2009. Mathew does not ever return calls. I was told by Shannon that Mathew would call me in a few minutes and now one hour later he has not called me. I called a couple of times asking for Mathew and he would not come to the phone. I have used the dishwasher no more than 200 times in the past years and most of the time it is only half full and I run it on light. Now it does not work at all!! You dont want to do business with Freidmans in Pleasant Hill, CA and definitely dont want to purchase Bosch appliances. I know there is a class action lawsuit against Bosch for their washer dryers and I bet there are enough consumers with dishwasher problems to support a suit for the dishwasher defects. Bosch does not support or stand behind their products and Freidmans doesnt either. In fact I have never experienced such inconsideration for customers as I have at Freidmans. They are just about making a fast buck and could care less if their customer is ripped off. What do you say?

Its been 3 years, we bought the fridge, after 1 year, every summer something happens to it. We have been running in circles and no one has come to fill the gas in the fridge. The numbers are either not answered or the standard reply... someone will come. Biggest mistake to buy Bosch. Would never recommend it to anyone.

Said I couldnt get the one I wanted in white, it only came in stainless steel so we went up a model. Looked it up and said I couldnt get that one in white so we went up another model. So they delivered and installed it and when I looked it had a third rack. We use tall glasses and I am use to my Maytag having room for tall glasses and big cookie sheets and even gallon jugs. They dont fit so everything but glasses get washed by hand. Sorry its quiet, new so no problems but doing dishes by hand.

Bosch refrigerator problems. Bosch 800 Series B26FT70SNS /04 25.9 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator has issues and failures. The first issue is the crushed ice maker. It does not crush all the ice as my old GE unit did (or any other brand I have ever used). The Bosch unit only breaks some ice cubes in half, others it only will chip a corner off and only a few seem to come out mostly crushed. The lack of ice crushing has been confirmed by Bosch as normal for this unit. If you like fully crushed ice and not almost complete ice cubes mixed in with it, I would not recommend this refrigerator.The next two problems are more serious. Firstly, after swapping out the ice maker with a new unit to try to solve what we now know to be an unsolvable problem, the new ice maker unit has failed completely; it no longer makes ice and of course it is now out of warranty. I wrote an e-mail to the Bosch representatives who helped me the first time with this problem however they did not respond to my e-mail. The second failure is much more critical. The refrigerator intermittently stops working! Occasionally, the Bosch Series B26FT70SNS stops getting cold! Thats all the darn thing needs to do and it fails doing it! Ill come home to a puddle of water on the floor, the food in the freezer is thawed out and the refrigerator is warm! After cycling the power by turning off the circuit breaker sometimes it will start working, and sometimes it starts again by itself. I lost food and had to clean up a mess.I wrote another e-mail to the Bosch representatives about the ice maker and cooling failure, but again they did not respond to either of my e-mails. Because the Bosch representatives have been unresponsive on these last two problems it tells me that they do not want to get involved with defective products or product problems.Because I went with all BOSCH products in my new kitchen (Double oven, cooktop, range hood, dishwasher, warming draw, refrigerator) I am now terrified as to which product may fail next and the difficulty in communicating with factory representatives. I regret my decision of selecting all BOSCH appliances. As of this posting I have not heard back from Bosh.Based on my experience with multiple failures of my Bosch 800 Series B26FT70SNS /04 25.9 cu. ft. French Door refrigerator I cannot recommend purchasing this unit.

And that only covers the first 18 minutes of diagnostics. From there it was $120/hr. This microwave is part of an oven combo unit that cost over $2200 so it is not as simple as just replacing the microwave either. Thought I was getting a high end product but I guess not. Beware of Bosch less you find yourself hoping you win the customer service lottery of whether they choose to help you or not. BTW, this unit is only 26 months old.

This resulted in a multi-week delay in the remodel. Next, the microwave failed within a year of installation and then again within another year. We have paid more than $300 in repairs so far. Finally, with regard to business, we were promised a substantial rebate if we installed 3 or more appliances. We installed 4 but have not yet received the rebate. We have been pestering the dealer repeatedly for about 2 years now with no satisfaction. I will never again purchase a Bosch product.

Overall the stove is a good unit. However, cleaning it completely is difficult because it does not allow you to remove the power knobs to perform a complete cleaning. In addition, the heat elements are not consistently on, regardless of what setting you place them on. They will stay on for a short period and then turn off for a few minutes until such time that it feels it should come back on to that setting. The unit is a little pricey, around $800 for a cooktop. There are no frills extras on the unit, very basic in fact. You need to be careful as to what you use to clean the top or surface; very easy to remove the black coating if done with a wrong cleaner.

I noticed rust stains on my dishwasher about 2 years ago, and they became worse and worse to the point that friends who came over asked me why my dishwasher looked like that. Bosch customer service told me that they can only give me 50% off a new panel (and charge me additional for tax and freight), and I would have to pay $129 for the cost of their installer. I bought an oven, microwave, dishwasher and stove from them, and this is all they could do for me! They said to use a rust stain remover, and implied it was the kind of products I was using that caused the rust! I told them I never saw stainless steel rust, and this was the only appliance that was rusting. If you google other sites, many customers indicate that the materials in their stainless steel was not good. In addition, my cooktop had to be returned because the stainless steel near the burners were turning brown from the flames. Another product defect, and they had to replace my cooktop. Very disappointed in their customer service - the company does not support their products or their customers! BEWARE!

We remodeled our kitchen 5 years ago. We bought all Bosch appliances: refrigerator, built-in oven, induction stove top, microwave, dishwasher. About a year ago (so the appliances were 4 years old), the oven started overheating when we tried to clean the oven or have it on a high bake temperature for more than a few minutes. The oven would shut off and there was an error message on the panel that indicated overheating. We had it checked by the local authorized dealer and made several calls to Bosch. In essence, we were told that it is overheating--thats all! Well, we knew that. This has been going on for a year, and we havent received any solution from phone calls or visits.A few days ago, we tried to clean it again because something spilled in the bottom of the oven. It again overheated and shut down. Today, we were having people over for brunch. We set the oven to Bake with the temp at 400, and put the bacon in. We went back to check the bacon when it should have been done, and the oven and bacon were stone cold! We assumed we had not turned it on properly, so we again hit bake, set the temp to 400, and hit enter. Again, nothing. Our oven is completely dead, and it is just slightly older than 5 years! The oven panel displays all the right settings as if it is heating, but the oven remains cold. Again, with the rave reviews Bosch gets, we expected the oven to last more than 4 years before starting to have problems. As a matter of fact, with the price we paid, along with the reviews, we frankly thought that the oven would outlast us!Now for the refrigerator. Our self-defrost and icemaker have been malfunctioning. Again we called the local authorized dealer/repairmen, who came to look at it. He identified the problem and ordered a part to fix it. That was 4 months ago, and the part to fix it has yet to be shipped to the local dealer/repairmen. So although the problem was identified in August, it is now December and still no solution to our refrigerator. My husband has made several phone calls both to Bosch and to the local number, but to no avail. As you can see, I cannot in good conscience, recommend Bosch appliances to anyone. As a matter of fact, I would highly recommend not to go with Bosch. We have to replace our oven and probably our refrigerator, and we will absolutely not choose Bosch!

The one-year warranty was only from the date of purchase, so I paid it.Last summer, the door started its migration from the frame once again so, being the clever ** that I am, I propped the door shut with a kitchen chair. We really struggled to shut it enough for Thanksgiving dinner, and hadnt used it since. Our Vermont Castings gas grill was our primary cooking device--everything from apple pie to ziti--ever since.I bit the bullet last month and had them come again. They did half the work as they had to order a door repair kit (obviously, we are not the first to experience this). Now, with the new door kit and replacement knobs, we are looking forward to another 10 months (hopefully) of having an oven. Our broiler hasnt worked since it was fixed, but I havent complained about it because I cant afford to.

I bought this elsewhere about three years ago, and have to say at first I really didn't know what to make of it. It's definitely different from a conventional dryer. The drying cycle takes a little longer, and your clothes aren't bone dry when they come out. They aren't damp either. It's like they're on the edge of dry and they dry when you take them out of the machine. After getting used to it, I couldn't live without this dryer - love it. It's perfect for my situation, I happened to have a washer hookup and dryer outlet in my condo, but no vent. This is perfect. The little bit of water that comes out of your clothes will be pumped out of the machine and go down the drainage hose, or if you don't have that option I believe you can sponge it out. Give it a try, it's a great machine.

The third time, it was deemed unrepairable. After a month of going back and forth with them, not having a microwave, the best offer they could give me was that I had to pay $300 for a replacement microwave. Mind you, it was a $1200 microwave to begin with. So with the original cost upfront, the service costs and what they now want me to pay for a replacement microwave, I’m looking at roughly $2100 dollars on this microwave. And they claim this to be a “more than fair” offer. The customer service will throw you around from one guarded person to the next. They’ll forward you to their “manager” and when you ask for their name and title after finishing a conversation with them, you’ll find out that it’s not the manager and they’ll REFUSE to give you their last name or an email or anything to contact them. Do not buy Bosch if you expect a good experience with any customer service needs. At the end of 2017 I renovated my kitchen and purchased all Bosch appliances. In May 2019 the magnetron of my microwave failed. Granted, it was now out of warranty, but why the magnetron should have failed so soon was unimaginable. The Sharp microwave I replaced had worked seamlessly for 30 years. The repair cost me almost $400 (the microwave was $1200). I contacted Bosch by email and by phone and was told there was nothing they could do in consideration of this premature (my word) need for such a repair. Perhaps it might have been different if I had reported this prior to authorizing the repair (I did use the preferred repair service on the Bosch website). How was I to know that?! I told the supervisor I spoke with, as well as the customer service rep that emailed me, that they could expect poor reviews posted on as many websites as I could find. No one seemed to care. Buy these appliances at your own peril.

We have had servicemen out too many times to count. Each time the problem was fixed it really never was. We called repairmen approved by Bosch, called the Bosch hotline, etc. The washer does not clean the clothes properly. They still stink no matter what kind of detergent or fabric softener we use (we have tried them all). In addition, the dryer does not dry. It takes 3 hours to dry one load. We have to start the dryer and then let it cool down and repeat. With a family of four, this does not work. We will be junking these and getting good old Maytag.

I was kind of upset, seeing as I just replaced the brushes less than a month earlier. But weve used this washer practically every day for 12 years. I just wish you could replace the relay and not have to purchase a new board. Cheapest one I found was ~$500. Hmmm..... I can replace it and Im sure the washer will work fine once again. Or, I can spend $1,000 and buy a new washer.Brought home the new Bosch washer yesterday. Love it. I will keep looking for a new control module for the old washer. Then I can replace it and have a washer in the garage for all my shop stuff. Couldnt be happier with my Bosch washer and dryer.

Their authorized dealer/rep wants a $90 service charge to replace in $20 parts. They knew exactly what we were talking about, so I suspect this is a well known Bosch problem. Bosch customer service is stonewalling us. Its a small thing compared to most of the other complaints on this website, but Bosch should understand that it is enough to make us go elsewhere for our next dishwasher.

After living in the house for 2.5 years the refrigerator’s water filter broke and then the fridge stopped cooling. This happened at the best possible time. I just had my second child who is now one month old child, my mother and father in-law are visiting as well as my brother and sister in-law with their two kids. Bosch only allows for factory service people to inspect the machine. On the list of 4 in my area, Palo Alto 3 dont deal with refrigeration units. I was able to get someone to come out in two days to look at this. Keep in mind when you have a 1 month old child, milk and formula must be kept cold and they need to be fed every 3 hrs. The factory tech said the problem was a leak in the coolant. He cant guarantee the fix because they cant fix all leaks, but since the fridge is out of warranty the repair will cost $900. Keep in mind I went to Home Depot and bought a fridge out of necessity for my garage, GE, $400.I asked Bosch if they could work with me on the repair or discount a new fridge. If they would Id buy Bosch and be a loyal customer. They said youre out of warranty so we wont do anything for you. Huge inconvenience factor and they just dont care about the customer.

All on my dollar, even though the oven was just barely over 1 year old, the microwave was 2 and the dishwasher 4. Their customer service is the worst. For company that thinks it is high end it is just another overseas cheap piece of junk. Do not buy Bosch appliances.
